List as many ways you think you serve the people around you and the world. Aim for fifty to one hundred. Think big and small, from charitable donations or volunteering, to the hug you gave your grandkid or child.
Oh lord. 50 to 100 things I’ve done to help other people? This sounds…. Terribly self-centered. Good thing they also gave a list of things to think about whether you might have done them!

I’ve shared my home
I’ve shared my food

I’ve shared my time
I’ve been kind when I was angry
I’ve been patient when I wanted to yell
I’ve taken people to doctor’s appointments
I’ve taken people shopping
I’ve advocated for people in a hospital
I’ve fed stray animals
I’ve gotten veterinary care for stray/wild animals
I’ve led teams at work
I’ve served on a jury
I’ve lifted voices that needed to be heard
I’ve stepped back when my voice doesn’t need to be heard
I’ve brought good art into the world
I’ve thanked artists and writers for the good things they bring into the world
I’ve knitted for charity
I’ve knitted for friends
I’ve embraced expressing my creativity
I’ve encouraged creativity in others
I’ve inspired others (I hope)
I’ve spent time with people when they didn’t want to be alone
I’ve thanked people for spending time with me
I’ve given gifts for no reason, with no expectation of reciprocity
I’ve had meaningful conversations with people
I’ve listened to people without judgement
I’ve introduced people to people thinking they’d be friends, and they’ve become friends
OK; that’s 39, and I’ve got to tap out. Not that I think I haven’t done more, I mean, in 54 years, there’s probably 54 acts of service I’ve performed. But my mind had just gone absolutely blank and I can’t think of anything else!
